CW11/WPIX WINS THREE FAIR MEDIA COUNCIL FOLIO AWARDS

NEW YORK, April 27, 2007- The CW11/WPIX, Tribune Broadcasting's New York CW affiliate, was awarded three Fair Media Council Folio Awards at the ceremony held today in Long Island.

Winning top honors with two awards, CW11 reporter Rob Hoell captured the awards for Best Breaking News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast and Best Spot News Story. CW11 Weekend Anchor Mary Murphy was awarded top honors in the Science, Health or Environment News category.

The Fair Media Council is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that advocates for quality local news coverage and educates its members on issues affecting local news coverage.
