CW11/WPIX Nominated For 28 EMMY Awards
Including Best Evening Newscast, Best Sportscast, and Best On-Camera Talent
NEW YORK, February 8, 2007- The CW11/WPIX, Tribune Broadcasting's New York CW affiliate, was nominated for 28 Emmy® Awards from the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The Emmy® Awards honor outstanding achievement in the television industry during the eligibility period of September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006. NY NATAS' 50th Annual New York Emmy® Award Ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.
Nominated for 28 awards this year, ahead of WCBS-TV, WABC-TV and WNYW Fox 5, CW11/WPIX has won over 150 Emmy® Awards to date.
