Privileged: All About Love, Actually
Megan totally rocked this week on Privileged. That girl was so on top of things.
First she totally busts in on Rose to save the day and her from cheating on the test. Hooray! And, Megan was so cute when she came home from the school and vents to Will. The word "chipmunk" comes to mind, but in a cute way.
Then she took control and grounded Rose who, by the way, acts completely unteenage like and takes it like a trooper. But our teenage years weren’t that long ago that we don’t remember the earful our parents got when we were grounded. Rose did, however, give Sage the cold shoulder the entire episode after she found out she was the one who tipped Megan off about the cheating.

Gossip Girl: Dances With Doppelgängers
But we're getting ahead of ourselves. As with most of the great Gossip Girl episodes, this one was centered around a big dance -- in this case, the winter ball. Serena's taking Aaron, and during some slightly contrived outer borough bonding, Dan decides to take Aaron's ex, the feisty and sexually free Lexi. Yeah, THAT won't be awkward. Serena looks uncomfortable -- and she's even less pleased when Aaron spills that Lexi likes to sleep with guys on the first date to show how empowered she is. Serena's reaction cracked us up: "Can't she just vote?" Deciding that Dan won't be the only one to get some with someone else tonight, Serena tells Aaron she wants to thank him properly for taking her to the dance. Ahem, ahem. Aaron gets the message, which brings us to the aforementioned expression. Too bad Serena doesn't seem quite as into it!
While S and D pretend their double date is no big deal, Chuck and Blair are pretending that they don't want to go to the dance together. No, instead they'll set each other up with the perfect date -- and there's a lot at stake, like Chuck's prized limo or a month with Dorota's services (also, didn't you love Dorota using Facebook?).
Gossip Girl: Old Pics, New Mobile Series, Plus More Dish!
We are absolutely loving this feature from the New York Observer, which ferrets out old red-carpet pics of some of the Gossip Girl stars before they had access to folks who could tell them what not to wear (or, in Penn's case, how NOT to style his hair!) Check out a shaggy Penn, a blond Leighton, a bizarrely-dressed Blake, a grinning Ed, and more!
These pics make a recent comment from Josh Schwartz seem a lot more likely. It seems Blake Lively told W Magazine that one of the main reasons she took the role was so she could take courses at Columbia -- but thus far, the actress hasn't registered for a single class. Josh's take: “I think the real carrot for Blake was the opportunity for clothing,” Schwartz says, chuckling. “I remember talking to her about that. She was like, ‘Wait, so you’re asking me to move to New York and wear the most incredible clothes, some of which you might actually let me keep?’ So I think the wardrobe-reinvention carrot was stronger than the college-degree carrot.” Hee!
In other news, E!Online's Kristin learned that one of our favorite neglected characters is getting her own mobisodes. Sometime soon, creator Josh Schwartz tells her, we'll be able to peek into the secret life of Dorota, Blair's put-upon maid/best friend. Ever since the Thanksgiving episode, where we discovered that Dorota's ringtone for Eleanor was "I'm a Slave 4 U," we've been wanting to know more. We can't wait!

90210 News and Spoilers: Babies, Death and Eating Disorders
We're going to be suffering through with no new episodes of 90210 until January 6 (sob!), but fortunately, the news keeps coming. Thank goodness for gossip!
First off, we've got some fallout from all the too-skinny talk. Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie, went to People magazine to quash the rumors that she's got an eating disorder. She also denies tales of off-set partying and on-set bad behavior. "Nobody has asked me about it. I really can't help what someone thinks of me because they are reading a paper and choosing to believe it," Grimes told People. But do you buy it?
Next, there's the news that Jason Priestly will be directing the first episode back in the new year. But no, he's not planning on coming back to act: "There really wasn't anything interesting for me to do as Brandon on that show," he told People. "I felt that I just had more to offer as a director."
We have to admit, we're slightly bummed -- we'd love to see Brandon back in the zip, but we see where he's coming from. If only there was a juicy plot that could draw him back...

Stylista: Rewind
This week’s episode of Stylista gave us a recap of the season thus far with the promise of salacious never-before-seen footage. Sadly, the new scenes were few and far between and not nearly scandalous enough. We have to admit that Arnaldo reciting his poetry to the house and a three-page goodbye letter from Jason rate low on the excitement meter.
But leave it to Megan and Kate to liven things up as usual. When Kate’s not throwing her weekly team under the bus or stomping around like at two-year-old when she doesn’t get her way, she’s actually quite the comedian. Her spot-on impersonations of Anne crack up the house in a brief moment of relaxation. This bonding moment doesn’t last long when Kate and Johanna exchange heated words. It’s hard to side with Johanna on this one. She is uptight and although we wish her well in this contest, she’d go further if she could just rid herself of that stick up her you-know-what.
In between reliving each and every assistant task and editorial challenge, we got to see more of Megan’s wily ways. She calls Kate delusional and sits up late at night with DyShaun to ridicule Danielle about her weight. We’re pretty sure we heard something about Danielle sitting on Megan during this repulsive pillow talk session. After last week, we thought Megan was –thankfully – above going for the jugular in relation to Danielle. If you’re going to make fun of someone, try being creative about it instead of using the obvious. It’s just a shame that Danielle had to overhear their muttering.
We can’t wait till next when we find out who leaves next. We missed the dramatic tension. What did you think? Did you glean any new insight into the personalities of our contestants from the extra footage?

Gossip Girl's Second Season: What We're Loving (And Hating)
What we love about Season Two:
*The sexual tension between Chuck and Blair is off the charts. We don't know how the actors do it, but Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester have managed to dial up the chemistry a notch -- and that's saying something after some of Season One's hot Chair scenes.*Some of our favorite Chuck/Blair scenes this season? Chuck revealing why he skipped out on Tuscany: "I didn't want you to see." "See what?" "See me." Then there was the clothes-on seduction at Blair's party: "Where does he... put his hands?" And finally, the almost-getting-it-on bedroom scene where Blair refused to say those three little words... and then Chuck refused her. For now, at least.
*She only appeared for like, five seconds, but Evil Queen Bee Serena was deliciously fun to watch. Remember that scene when she robotically tied a scarf around Blair's neck? And what about when she effortlessly convinced the entire school to shun Dan in the courtyard? S may be flighty and sweet most of the time, but when she wants to be, she can out-bitch the best of them.
*Nate's really coming into his own. Crashing in Brooklyn, sleeping with a cougar-turned-duchess, bonding (in more ways than one -- and we'll get to this in a minute) with the Humphreys -- Nate really evolved this season. We don't remember him doing much more than dumping Blair and palling around with Chuck in Season One, but this year, he's gone from Park Avenue to paper plates in just a few episodes. Forgive us if we confess to a little tug at our heartstrings in the last new episode when Nate held his mom as the FBI led his shady dad off to jail. The poor kid's put up with so much! And he's so PRETTY. Is it just us, or does Nate look even better this season?
*Most polarizing character of the season award? We're thinking that one has to go to not-so-little-anymore Jenny Humphrey, whose school-skipping, dress-stealing, shirtless-dancing and Nate-kissing new ways had the fandom abuzz with both support (She's growing up! this is her time! she deserves to give fashion a shot!) and scorn (She's a spoiled brat who thinks of no one but herself!). Whether you loved her or hated her, you've got to admit that Jenny certainly kept things interesting this season.
*Serena and Dan are broken up. Yeah, they were cute in the first season -- sometimes cloyingly so. But by episode 3 this season, their elevator fight had us screaming right along with them. This is one couple that will seriously benefit from some time apart. As Serena said to Dan, "Why do you always get to be right?" Why, indeed!

Reasons to be Thankful
Gossip Girl
- Chuck Bass, always and forever.
- Jenny Humphrey finally washed off the Heavy Eye Liner of Rebellion. We like our fresh-faced Little J!
- Nate is starting to get interesting! We can't say we agree with his method of choosing a girlfriend (like Jackie says, he apparently dates anyone who's standing in front of him at that moment), but we're liking the Nate/Jenny/Vanessa dynamic.
One Tree Hill
- The Scott Family -- Nathan, Haley and Jamie. It's great to see such a loving young family on TV!
- The folks on One Tree Hill are still able to surprise us, either by going for a completely cheeserific theme episode, or by turning up the dial on the drama, like in the most recent episode.
- Nanny Carrie is seriously, honestly, not-coming-back dead. We don't mind Ghost Q, but we better never see Nanny Carry haunting anyone!
