Memorable Season 6 Moments
Season 6 broke with Gilmore tradition. For the first time, we had entire episodes with zero Lorelai/Rory interaction... much to the dismay of many fans.

Rory vs. Lorelai
Why were the Gilmores at odds? Because their fight after Rory's boat-stealing/dropping out of school spurred her to move out. With Rory residing at Emily and Richard's and Lorelai newly engaged to Luke, the Gilmores started the season leading separate lives, and we were deprived of key mother-daughter banter.

It felt the saddest when important celebrations were disrupted (like Sookie's kids' baptism) or spent differently than planned (Rory's 21st birthday party).

Romantic Obstacles
But Season 6 wasn't all about family feuds. There were lots of romantic obstacles to overcome, too. Lorelai and Luke worked on being an engaged couple, for better or for worse. Meanwhile, Rory and Logan's relationship was thrown for a loop (!) and fans everywhere cheered.

Gilmores Reunited
What a relief when they finally made up. It was like old times again!

with Emily and Richard was a highlight this season -- everyone loved the funky camera work. And even better than that? Gilmores airing their pent-up grievances in the most hilarious way.

Other Season 6 highlights? Luke, Lorelai, Rory, and Logan went on a double date at the Vineyard. Lorelai came to Emily's aid in an unexpected way. Luke discovered he had a daughter. Rory and Logan experienced some rocky times, but ultimately they emerged stronger than before.

A Cringeworthy Finale
Oh, and we can't forget the episode that made most fans cringe... "Partings." As in, the episode where Lorelai and Luke implode and Lorelai ends up in Chris's bed. Ouch. It almost hurts to WRITE that.
