Writers want a bigger piece of DVD and online profits. Should they get it?

TV writers want a bigger percentage of DVD sales, and they're also demanding a cut of the profits studios make off the clips viewed online.

Contracts for all 12,000 members of the Writers Guild ended October 31st. Hundreds of them will be picketing outside Rockefeller Center this morning and in LA outside of 14 major studios. The guild says they will picket everyday until a new deal is reached.

yes they should get it it is not like they are asking for a lot more money they are only asking for 4 more cents per dvd sale

Writers are the glue that keeps all shows running. Without them, actors will have nothing to say, and directors will have nothing to direct the actors to say. If directos and actors get royalties from...
